Why Ijegalu Must Win: A Case for Udi North





The Enugu State House of Assembly is not a retirement home for the weak-willed. It is a battlefield for ideas, for resources, for the soul of our communities. And battlefields are not for spectators. They are for strong willed men.

That is why the candidacy of Hon. Ijegalu Andrew Chidozie for Udi North Constituency is not just another contest. It is the best thing that will happen to great people of Udi North, especially the youths.

Politics, at its best, is not an exercise in political pageantry or joking around; it is the organized will of the people finding a voice strong enough to carry it. Ijegalu, a true son of the soil, embodies that voice. He did not descend upon Udi North from some distant boardroom of privilege, he rose from its soil, walked its paths, and understands the texture of its struggles because he has lived them. What sets Ijegalu apart is strength of will. In a political system where many go to the State House of Assembly to become deaf and dumb, Udi North needs a seasoned advocate, a man who can attract opportunities and fight for his people anywhere, anytime, without fear or favour.


He understands that representation is not about wearing Agbada or polished dress to sit in the Assembly. It is about standing up when others are sitting down. Speaking firmly when others are whispering. It is about bringing home what belongs to your people. 


Because Ijegalu is not just a refined guy. He is a grassroots man. He understands the language of the common man because he is the common man. He has walked the same untarred roads, drank from the same uncertain streams, and hustled in the same hard economy as every young man in Udi North.


He knows that our youths do not need stipends that cannot define their future. They need skills, opportunities, enterprise, and a voice that will fight for them to get it.
