Ohaa Champions Sportsmanship, Youth Talent as He Graces ASECOM–Great Creators Football Match in Enugu

ENUGU, ENUGU STATE-August 31, 2026:
 
The NDC Governorship Candidate for Enugu State, Sir Chinyeaka Christian Ohaa (Odalije), has called for greater support for sports, youth talent development and healthy competition as he graced a friendly football match organised by the Association of Enugu State Comedians and MCs (ASECOM) in Enugu.



The friendly encounter, held on Monday, August 31, featured the ASECOM football team against the Great Creators team and attracted entertainers, young footballers, supporters and members of the creative community.

Ohaa attended the event alongside the NDC Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constituency House of Representatives Candidate, Hon. Engr. Ezeh Kingsley Ifeanyi; NDC House of Representatives Candidate for Enugu North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Maduka Arum; and NDC Ezeagu State Constituency House of Assembly Candidate, Hon. Uche Adinde.

Welcoming Ohaa and his delegation, the Group Captain of ASECOM, MC Harrison (MC Nwanike), expressed appreciation to the governorship candidate for honouring the invitation and identifying with the association's sporting initiative.

MC Harrison also introduced the association's football teams to Ohaa, expressing delight at having the NDC governorship candidate present to support and encourage the young players.

In his remarks, Ohaa thanked ASECOM and the Great Creators team for their warm reception and for organising an event that promotes friendship, unity, recreation and positive engagement among young people.

He urged the young footballers to uphold the values of sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, respect and fair play, stressing that sporting activities provide an important platform for discovering and nurturing young talents.

Ohaa noted that Enugu State is blessed with talented young people whose abilities, if properly encouraged and developed, can contribute significantly to the state's growth while projecting a positive image of Enugu across Nigeria.

He further commended ASECOM and the Great Creators for using football to bring people together and encouraged other organisations to create more opportunities for young people to participate in sports and creative activities.

The atmosphere became lively as the players took to the field with excitement and determination, with supporters cheering enthusiastically as the much-anticipated friendly match kicked off in high spirits.
