When a man is dragged through the mud by rumours, slanderers and backbiters, it is often an indication that his presence is being felt and that he is fighting a good fight. 



Nobody throws stones at a fruitless mango tree.


It is therefore not surprising that, as the popularity and acceptance of the NDC candidate for Aninri State House of Assembly, Hon. Surv. Osita Patrick Achi, continue to deepen across Aninri, desperate political elements have resorted to circulating fabricated stories about his alleged defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).


Let's state it clearly to any one who cares to listen


Surv. Osita Patrick Achi has not defected from the NDC, and there is no truth whatsoever in the rumour of his alleged movement to the APC.


The attempt to manufacture such a story is nothing more than a desperate political tactic by those who are increasingly uncomfortable with his growing acceptance among the people of Aninri.


The truth is simple: Surv. Osita Achi remains firmly in the NDC and remains fully committed to the 2027 political struggle.


He has no intention of withdrawing from the race, abandoning the people who believe in him, or trading the aspirations of his generation for political convenience.


For 27 years, Aninri has waited for meaningful political representation at the State House of Assembly. Today, a new generation is demanding its place in the political history of the constituency. Surv. Osita Achi understands the weight of that responsibility.


He is not just contesting an election; he is carrying the hopes of a generation that has waited long enough to be heard.


We therefore unequivocally dissociate Surv. Osita Patrick Achi from every rumour, fabricated report or purported communiqué suggesting that he has defected to the APC or intends to abandon the NDC.


These rumours are false, malicious and politically motivated.


To those behind the campaign of misinformation, our message is simple and clear: the louder the rumour, the clearer the evidence that Surv. Osita Achi has become a force to reckon with in Aninri.


Political propaganda cannot erase the growing connection between a candidate and his people.


Surv. Osita Patrick Achi remains the legitimate NDC candidate for Aninri State House of Assembly and remains resolutely committed to the 2027 election.
