ESTMA COMMANDER KENNETH UGWU’S PREDICTION BECOMES A REALITY: MBah’s Vision Is Redefining Enugu

 

What was once regarded by some as an ambitious prediction is gradually becoming a reality.



At the 9th anniversary of the Enugu State Ministry of Transport and ESTMA, ESTMA Commander, Mr. Kenneth Aniebonam Ugwu, spoke confidently about Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s capacity to reposition Enugu on the global economic map.


Commander Ugwu specifically predicted that Governor Mbah would pioneer direct cargo connectivity between Enugu and major international commercial hubs, particularly China, through the development of Enugu Air and modern logistics infrastructure.


Today, that vision is taking shape.


The inaugural cargo flight from Enugu to Bamenda, Cameroon, is another significant step in the emerging aviation and logistics ambitions of the state, demonstrating the administration’s determination to make Enugu more connected to regional and international markets.


But the story of Governor Mbah’s administration goes beyond aviation.


According to Ugwu, "Across Enugu, the administration has embarked on an ambitious transformation agenda covering roads, transport infrastructure, education, healthcare, urban renewal, investment promotion, security, technology and economic development." 


The commander noted that, the emergence of Enugu Air, the upgrading of transport infrastructure, the development of modern terminals and the wider effort to improve the state’s connectivity all point in one direction: positioning Enugu not merely as a state people pass through, but as a destination for business, investment, tourism and opportunity.


This is the bigger picture behind Commander Ugwu’s earlier prediction.


Governor Mbah appears determined to give Enugu the infrastructure and economic environment required to compete beyond the traditional boundaries of the Southeast. The ambition is increasingly visible in the changing landscape of the state and in the renewed attention being given to connectivity and investment.


In many ways, Enugu is being presented with a new possibility: a modern, commercially vibrant and globally connected city capable of attracting opportunities from across Nigeria, Africa and beyond.

ENUGU MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT BANS TRAFFIC TASKFORCE FROM ALL FEDERAL HIGHWAYS.

  The Enugu State Ministry of Transport has  banned all manner  of Traffic Taskforce officials from federal highways in Enugu Metropolis with immediate effect.  The Press Release which was signed by the Commander Enugu State Traffic Management Authority Mr Kenneth Aniebonam UGWU Stated that fake MOT task force officials have been having a field day but must Stop henceforth as the ministry has Set up a Special task force officials to put an end to this obnoxious Practice that is giving the MOT a bad name before the Public and the Motorists.  The release Stated that the Ministry  taskforce officials have apprehended some of the fake officials while extorting Motorists in Enugu Metropolis recently and are currently facing interrogation and Prosecution.
