Anywhere Chinyeaka Ohaa Goes, I Will Go There — Prof. _Eneh-Nwannaji Ends Legal Challenge, Pledges Total Support for Ohaa

 


A new chapter of unity and political consolidation opened today in the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Enugu State as Prof. James Eneh-Nwannaji, who had instituted a legal action against the party’s governorship candidate, Sir Chinyeaka Christian Ohaa (Odalije), not only withdrew the suit, the case was dismissed, bringing the matter to an end at the Federal High Court.

But the significance of today's development went far beyond the courtroom.

Addressing journalists after the proceedings, Prof. Eneh-Nwannaji made a declaration that immediately captured the political meaning of the moment:

 “Anywhere Chinyeaka Ohaa goes, I will go there.”

The former aspirant did not merely announce his support for Sir Ohaa; he pledged to work with him and follow his political journey towards the 2027 governorship election.

For the NDC, it was a remarkable transition, from contest to reconciliation, from disagreement to common purpose, and from litigation to mobilisation.

Responding to the development, Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa welcomed the resolution with a spirit of reconciliation, emphasising the need for the party to put internal differences behind it and concentrate on the larger responsibility before the party.

His response reinforced the emerging message that the NDC's strength must now come from unity, collective sacrifice and a shared determination to offer Enugu a new political direction.

Today's development therefore removes more than a legal obstacle. It removes a potential source of distraction at a time when the NDC requires maximum concentration, organisation and cohesion.

For Sir Ohaa, the moment further strengthens his position as a candidate capable of bringing former contenders and different political tendencies under one roof.

The lesson is no doubt that the political ambition may produce contestants, but political vision produces a movement.

With Eneh-Nwannaji's public declaration of loyalty and Ohaa's embrace of reconciliation, the NDC has an opportunity to transform yesterday's differences into today's strength.

The courtroom may have closed one chapter, but the political journey has entered another.

The internal contest is giving way to the greater contest.

The message is unity.

The assignment is mobilisation.

The destination is the Lion Building.

The year is 2027.

And with Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa at the centre of this renewed coalition, the NDC is signalling that it is ready to move forward-together, determined and focused on victory.
