HON. UCHE KINGSLEY ENEH LEADS NDC TO COMMISSION FIRST “OK MOVEMENT” OFFICE IN ENUGU WEST


... a New Dawn for Grassroots Mobilisation and the March Towards a New Nigeria

UDI, ENUGU WEST — A new chapter in grassroots political mobilisation was opened in Enugu West as the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), led by its Enugu West Senatorial Candidate, Hon. Uche Kingsley Eneh, commissioned the first “OK MOVEMENT” office in the Senatorial District.


The office located in the heart of the Enugu West, (9th Mile) marks a significant step towards strengthening grassroots engagement, political participation, and community-based mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking at the commissioning, Hon. Uche Kingsley Eneh commended the leadership and members of the OK Movement in Enugu State for their steadfast commitment to the pursuit of a new Nigeria.

"I thank you for your steadfastness. Remain focused on the aims and objectives of this historic movement. Enugu West will continue to lead from the front in the pursuit of good governance, accountability and people-centred leadership,” he said.


Hon. Eneh was accompanied by prominent NDC candidates and political leaders, including His Excellency Dr. John Nwokeabia, the NDC Candidate for Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal Constituency; Hon. Ugochukwu Eneh, NDC Candidate for Udi South; Hon. Godwin Chidozie, NDC Candidate for Udi North; Surveyor Osy Achi, NDC Candidate for Aninri; and other party leaders and stakeholders.


The Deputy Coordinator of the OK Movement in Enugu State, Hon. David Ani praised Enugu West for taking the initiative and setting a new standard for grassroots mobilisation across the state.

“Enugu West has set the pace. In a few weeks, many more of these offices will be opened across the state as we are learning from Udi, Enugu West,” he noted.


Also speaking, the Secretary of the OK Movement in Enugu State, Alhaji Aliyu Adamu Kwankwaso, expressed appreciation to Hon. Eneh and the NDC delegation for their support and solidarity.

He assured the gathering of the movement’s maximum support, declaring that they would remain committed to the struggle “until we sing a new song for Nigeria.”

The commissioning attracted party leaders, youths, women’s groups, community stakeholders and supporters, who described the initiative as a bold move towards building a stronger and more inclusive political structure rooted in the people.

For the NDC in Enugu West, the new office represents far more than a physical structure. It is envisioned as a hub for ideas, grassroots engagement, political education, mobilisation and service, providing a platform for citizens to participate actively in shaping the future of their communities and the nation.

With initiatives such as this taking root at the grassroots, the message from Enugu West remains clear: the people are ready, the movement is growing, and the journey towards a New Nigeria has begun from the grassroots.

ENUGU MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT BANS TRAFFIC TASKFORCE FROM ALL FEDERAL HIGHWAYS.
