... as 933 pass out
At least Nine hundred and thirty-three (933) Corps Members of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream were this afternoon, Thursday, July 9,2026 formally discharged from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) after completing the one-year mandatory National service in Anambra State.
However, Nine members who absconded from the service would repeat the entire service year in line with the provisions of the NYSC Bye-Laws.
Two had their service year extended on disciplinary grounds, while five were retained by their employers due to their outstanding performance.
In her remarks at the passing out ceremony held at the Ihiala Local Government Council Secretariat, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs Pauline Ojisua, congratulated the outgoing Corps Members on the successful completion of their service year.
She charged them to remain worthy ambassadors of the Scheme.
She urged them to embrace self-reliance by putting into practice the entrepreneurial and vocational skills acquired during the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme, rather than waiting endlessly for white-collar jobs.
Ojisua encouraged them to remain productive by engaging in meaningful ventures capable of creating sustainable livelihoods and contributing to national development.
She also advised them to join the NYSC Foundation to sustain their relationship with the Scheme and continue supporting its objectives.
She prayed for the outgoing Corps members, and wished them journey mercies and God’s protection as they return to their various destinations to begin a new phase of their lives.
