Igwe Amanse prays for unity, progress at his maiden Ofala

The traditional ruler of Amansea community in Awka North Council of Anambra State, has pledged to uphold equity and justice, peace and unity for prosperity to thrive among his people.

The Igwe who spoke at his maiden annual Ofala festival in his address to the people acknowledged that, "I will forever stand with Amansea community.

"I will constantly pray for peace, unity, unprecedented progress for citizens of Amansea wherever they are."



Ofala, he acknowledged remain a key part of our cultural heritage during which our Igwe(king) come out publicly to relate with and address his people. 


He also address and pray for them, while the villages, age groups and individual citizens pay homage to him in turns with gift items. 


They also spice it up with traditional performances, music and dances. 


Igwe  Anigbogu, flanked happily by his esteemed subjects, expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for the gift of life.


 He commended the community's collective efforts in reaching new heights and specifically acknowledged the generous contributions of high-profile Amansea citizens. 


He used occasion of the Ofala to confer chieftaincy tittles on deserving citizens and worthy friends of the community, including Dr Raphael Azubuike Onyekwelu.
