PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ABAKPA NIKE ROAD AT THE LAST BUS STOP


The Enugu State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure hereby informs the general public of the *temporary closure of Abakpa Nike Road at the Last Bus Stop.



This closure is to enable the construction of a box culvert as part of the ongoing road dualization project.


Closure begins at 12 midnight, Thursday, 2nd October 2025


Duration: 3 Weeks


This measure is essential to allow the contractor to complete the culvert safely, efficiently, and within the scheduled timeframe. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause and kindly appeal for your patience and cooperation.


Alternative Routes


To ease traffic flow, motorists and road users are advised to use the following diversions:


Obinagu Road


Texaco – Amurri Road – Nowas Junction – T-Junction


Liberty – Edward Nnaji Street – Ugwunwani Street – Corner Stone – T-Junction


Liberty – Edward Nnaji Street – Ogwuago – Harmony Road – Nkwo Nike Junction / Nike Lake


We especially appeal to Abakpa residents and road users to kindly bear with the government during this period, as these works are part of our commitment to providing durable road infrastructure for a better and safer Enugu tomorrow.

Contempt Charge: Trouble not over for dethroned Anambra monarch

Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the state’s chief advocate of reform, often stresses transparency and integrity as guiding principles of his administration.
