Amankanu Oduma: 🚨 URGENT AND ABSOLUTE REBUTTAL OF ALL FABRICATED ALLEGATIONS AGAINST THE TOWN UNION PRESIDENT

To: Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku (Ndumeze Jnr.), Executive Chairman, Aninri Local Government Area.

BASELESS ACCUSATIONS AND VILIFICATION OF MR. EKPETE SYLVESTER CHIDUBEM, TOWN UNION CARETAKER COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN, AMANKANU OHOFIA AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY.

Sir, our attention is drown to the frivolous, malicious, and entirely unsubstantiated allegation levied against the incorruptible and dutiful Town Union Caretaker Committee Chairman, Mr. Ekpete Sylvester Chidubem. The venomous submission from "Engr. Anih Vincent Chijioke" is not a call for justice, but a desperate political maneuver orchestrated by disgruntled elements seeking to sabotage legitimate processes and plunge Amankanu into the very crisis they falsely accuse the Chairman of instigating. Mr. Chidubem Ekpete has operated with unassailable transparency and dogged adherence to the governing statutes, and we categorically reject the defamatory claims of abuse of power, intimidation, constitutional breach, and negligence of state laws.

Mr. Ekpete's actions are demonstrably founded on the mandate to stabilize the community and ensure a prompt, orderly transition:

Rejection of Crisis-Driven Electoral Delay: The allegation that he "refused to form an electoral committee" is a calculated falsehood. The Chairman is working tirelessly to lay a rock-solid institutional foundation as directed by the Ministry, which logically precedes the committee formation to prevent the entire process from being instantly compromised by partisan forces. His actions are aimed at ensuring the Town Union Election is held first, as per state directive, and is not overshadowed by the more contentious Igweship struggle.

Upholding Expediency and Due Process: The timeline given for the Umuolo kindred's Igweship candidacy is an exercise in responsible governance, designed to accelerate a long-stalled process. Any prior constitutional stipulation must be viewed through the lens of the current caretaker mandate, which is to expeditiously resolve transitional issues. The claim of a six-month window is being deliberately misused to facilitate indefinite delay and administrative paralysis.

Adherence to Transitional Authority: The Chairman's activities regarding the Igweship process are conducted under the strict oversight and implicit approval of the supervising Ministry. The assertion that he is unilaterally "selling forms" or operating outside the Ministry's knowledge is a blatant lie, designed to undermine the legitimacy of the entire process. He is merely performing the preparatory administrative functions necessary to fulfill his directive, ensuring documentation is ready when the time comes.

Prioritization Mandate: The Chairman's decision to focus on the Town Union election first, as instructed, is not a breach of power but a correct and necessary prioritization. He is wisely preventing the highly charged Igweship contest from derailing the foundational election of the Town Union President General (PG).

Dismissal of Campaign Slander: Allegations of campaigning and biased WhatsApp messages are petty gossip and baseless political mudslinging. The Chairman's official duties are conducted with stoic impartiality; any purported "voicenotes" are likely taken out of context or entirely fabricated to create a false narrative of compromise. His focus remains squarely on the administrative restoration of Amankanu.

Principled and Decisive Leadership: The characterization of Mr. Ekpete as a "draconian and autocratic leader" is the predictable outcry of those whose parochial interests were legitimately refused. His decisive leadership is not autocracy but the courageous fulfillment of a difficult mandate that requires firmness to overcome entrenched resistance and political gridlock.

Factually Incorrect Composition Claims: The composition of the Caretaker Committee was finalized through a stringent process under external guidance. The claim that certain kindreds were deliberately excluded or that his kindred received two undue seats is a falsehood that seeks to incite communal discord. The Committee's composition reflects administrative necessity and competence, not favoritism.

Appointments Based on Competence, Not Affiliation: All appointments made by the Chairman were based purely on the integrity, capacity, and commitment of the appointees to communal service. To label loyal, dedicated citizens like Mr. Ajah Christopher and Rev. Akachukwu Agu merely as "supporters" of a potential candidate is an attempt to weaponize their service and de-legitimize their roles.

Respect for Institutions: The claim of disrespect, intimidation, and harassment is a desperate projection. Mr. Ekpete has demonstrated the utmost respect for all community stakeholders, maintaining a professional distance from political pressures to ensure the integrity of his office.

We therefore urge the Executive Chairman of Aninri, Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku to reject this inflammatory document in its entirety. The request to replace Mr. Ekpete Sylvester Chidubem is a clear attempt by the petitioners to install a puppet administration. We demand that the Chairman be allowed to conclude his vital mandate without this unjustifiable political persecution.

Rev. Akachukwu Agu
