Igbo Nsukka Development Union Endorses Dr. John Nwokeabia for Governorship Seat in Enugu State

 

In a resounding declaration, the Igbo Nsukka Development Union (INDU) has thrown its weight behind Dr. John Nwokeabia, urging him to contest the governorship seat in Enugu State in 2027. This endorsement is not unconnected with Dr. Nwokeabia's exceptional leadership qualities, administrative acumen, and unwavering commitment to the progress and development of Enugu State.



According to the Union's President, Mazi Okechukwu Isioji, Dr. Nwokeabia's leadership prowess was evident in his role as Deputy Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections. His tireless efforts, leadership and significant financial support were instrumental in ensuring the party's success in Enugu State. "With his impressive pedigree and seasoned political sagacity, Dr. Nwokeabia possesses the requisite skills to navigate the complexities of governance and drive Enugu State towards sustainable development," Isioji added.


The Secretary General of the Union, Chief Mrs. Doris Ugwu, noted that "Dr. John Nwokeabia's vision for Enugu State's future is characterized by inclusivity, transparency, and a deep understanding of the people's needs and aspirations." The group emphasized that Enugu State has reached a turning point, where competence and merit should take precedence over political considerations. Dr. Nwokeabia's candidacy embodies this shift, as he is a leader who has consistently demonstrated his ability to deliver results and inspire confidence.


The endorsement comes after tens of other groups both in Enugu and outside including Nsukka Youth Congress also endorsed Dr. Nwokeabia, citing his impeccable character, impressive pedigree, and seasoned political sagacity. They believe that he is the ideal candidate for the governorship seat come 2027, given his experience and unrivaled dedication to the state's development.


Dr. Nwokeabia's leadership offers a sense of hope for Enugu State's future.
