Amankanu: A Response to Baseless Allegations

On behalf of our principal, Chief Ekene Ekpete, we are compelled to respond to the malicious and baseless allegations leveled against him and the Executive Chairman of Aninri Local Government, Hon. Ugochukwu Nwanjoku. In the face of these frivolous publications, we must set the record straight and expose the antics of those behind this orchestrated campaign of calumny.
The allegation that Chief Ekene Ekpete bribed the local government Chairman or any other individual to become Igwe is utterly preposterous and an affront to the values of our community. Given his family's history with the chieftaincy title rooted in tradition and community recognition, the notion of bribery is absurd. Chief Ekene Ekpete's father, Chief Innocent Okorie Ekpete, was handed the staff of authority by the people of Umuoro on December 7th, 2017, to serve as Igwe.
While Chief Ekene Ekpete may not see eye-to-eye with the local government Chairman on all matters, he commends the local government Chairman for his bold steps and appeals to everyone to allow the constitution of Ndi Amankanu to stand, crucial for maintaining peace, unity, and progress in our community. We condemn the past President-General's attempts to create issues where none exist, and their tactics are deemed childish and petty. What he fail to understand is that he cannot serve as PG foreever. There is terrm limit which his tenure has expired long time ago.
To the people of Amankanu, we urge you to remain vigilant and not be swayed by divisive machinations. Let's work together to build a community guided by its constitution, values and traditions, rather than selfish interests. We must prioritize the well-being and progress of our community, and reject any actions that seek to undermine our unity and development.
We call on all stakeholders to join hands with us in promoting peace, unity, and progress in Amankanu. Together, we can build a brighter future for ourselves and future generations.
Sincerely,
Chidi Eze
