URGENT MESSAGE TO ALL LABOUR PARTY FAITHFULS AND OBIDIENTS IN ENUGU STATE

1. It has come to my attention that there is a significant amount of misinformation circulating regarding the alignment of the Labour Party and the Obidient movement with the ADC coalition, particularly here in Enugu State. This message aims to clarify our current position and provide a clear directive to all our dedicated members and supporters.

2. His Excellency, *Peter Obi*, has unequivocally stated that he remains a full-fledged and committed member of the Labour Party. His instruction to all of us is clear: we are to remain steadfast within the Labour Party, focusing our efforts on growing our base at all levels. This directive is crucial as we await the eventual outcome of ongoing coalition efforts, spearheaded by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the proposed new vehicle for the opposition.

3. Therefore, it is imperative that all Labour Party faithfuls and Obidients in Enugu State completely disregard and shun all false entreaties, invitations, or calls for alliance or meetings from any other group or political entity within the state. Also Local Government Chairmen DO NOT have our instructions to collapse Labour Party structure to ADC at this point until further directed. These attempts are designed to sow confusion and divert our focus.

4. Our strength lies in our unity and unwavering commitment to our stated goals. We must remain resolute, trusting in the official communications and guidance from our leadership. Our collective efforts should be singularly directed towards the ultimate actualization of *Peter Obi* as the presidential candidate of the anticipated coalition.

5. Let us continue to work diligently, register new members, and strengthen our grassroots structures. Do not be swayed by rumors or external pressures. Stay focused, stay united, and remain loyal to the cause.

6. Thank you for your continued dedication and commitment.

Yours sincerely,

Dr John Nwokeabia
