To the Resolute Obidients and Labour Party Faithful in Enugu: The Future is Bright!*

Dear esteemed members of the Obidient movement and loyal supporters of H.E Peter Obi’s led Labour Party in Enugu State,

The 2023 general election in Enugu State was a testament to the immense power of the people's will and the undeniable influence of our Principal, Peter Obi. While the outcome of the gubernatorial election may have left many feeling disheartened, with the Labour Party being denied the ticket despite winning the popular vote, the facts and figures from the polls speak volumes about our collective strength and resolve.

Evidencing Our Strength: The 2023 Mandate

Let us reflect on the resounding success achieved by the Labour Party in Enugu across other crucial electoral contests, which clearly demonstrated our dominance and the public's embrace of Peter Obi's vision for a new Nigeria:

Presidential Election Triumph:

In the 2023 Presidential election, Peter Obi of the Labour Party secured an overwhelming victory in Enugu State, polling an astonishing 428,640 votes (91.42%) out of the total 468,891 votes cast. This was a clear and unambiguous mandate from the people of Enugu, who overwhelmingly chose the path of a new Nigeria.

Legislative Gains:

Beyond the presidential election, the Labour Party made outstanding significant inroads into the legislative landscape of Enugu State signaling a strong performance by Labour Party candidates in both the Senate, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly elections, thereby securing a substantial number of seats and demonstrating our widespread appeal; 2 Senators out of 3, 7 House of Representatives out of 8 and 14 House of Assembly members out of 24 signaling a fundamental shift in the political consciousness of the state!

These victories, unequivocally declared by INEC itself, are not mere statistics; they are concrete evidence of the deep-seated trust and hope the people of Enugu have invested in the "Obidient" philosophy championed by Peter Obi and our Leader Dr John Nwokeabia*. The margin of victory in the presidential election, in particular, showcases a revolutionary shift in political alignment, indicating that the traditional political strongholds are indeed crumbling under the weight of a conscious electorate.

Remaining Resolute: Our Path to 2027

We understand that the disappointment surrounding the gubernatorial election outcome was profound, especially given the clear popular mandate. However, it is crucial to remember that our collective journey towards a new Nigeria is a marathon, not a sprint. The challenges we faced in 2023, including alleged manipulations and systemic hurdles, only serve to strengthen our resolve and expose the desperation of those who cling to the old order.

Despite the regrettable defections and perhaps future possible defections of some elected and party officials to the opposition, these isolated incidents do not diminish the unwavering spirit and numerical strength of the Obidient movement and the Labour Party in Enugu. Our core strength lies not in individuals, but in the collective consciousness of the masses who resonate with Peter Obi's message of fiscal prudence, accountability, and a people-first approach to governance.

Therefore, *EWAC* urges all Labour Party faithfuls and Obidients in Enugu to remain resolute, trust our leaders, and be certain that with Peter Obi as our unwavering focus and Principal, the future is indeed bright, and electoral success can and will be repeated in 2027. The enduring passion and commitment witnessed during the 2023 elections are a powerful force that cannot be underestimated or suppressed. Indeed it is getting stronger!

Forging Alliances for a New Nigeria

The Peter Obi led Labour Party under our esteemed Leader *H.E Dr John Nwokeabia* in Enugu State is not an island; we recognize the imperative of building bridges and fostering collaboration to achieve our shared vision for a new Nigeria ostensibly under the new coalition, *African Democratic Congress (ADC).* Thus in *EWAC* we are open to strategic alliances with different groups, parties etc who genuinely share our aspirations for good governance, economic revitalization, and a just society. Our doors are open to those who prioritize the welfare of the common man and are committed to transparent and accountable leadership.

Our ultimate goal remains the emergence of a New Nigeria, where the voice of the people truly matters, and the nation's resources are equitably managed for the benefit of all. With Peter Obi's unparalleled influence and political sagacity continuing to inspire millions, we are confident that by working together, we can consolidate our gains, overcome future obstacles, and usher in an era of true democratic dividends for Enugu State and Nigeria as a whole.

Let us stand united, continue to mobilize in the Labour Party as instructed for now by H.E Peter Obi, and keep the flame of hope burning brightly. The mandate of 2023 was a preview of what is possible, and with renewed vigor and unwavering dedication, 2027 will undoubtedly be our defining moment.

Solidarity forever!
