Enugu Hosts Landmark Obidient “Meet & Greet”, Signals Renewed Momentum for Labour Party

ENUGU, Nigeria – The Labour Party and its grassroots "Obidient Movement" in Enugu State recently experienced a significant boost in morale and strategic direction with a high-profile "Meet & Greet" interactive forum. The event, held penultimate Friday at the Enugu residence of prominent businessman and former Labour Party Deputy Governorship candidate, Dr. John Nwokeabia, brought together key stakeholders and the Director-General of Obidient Worldwide, Dr. Tanko Yunusa.



The gathering marked a pivotal moment for the Obidient Movement in Enugu, being the first time such an important interactive session with the global DG has taken place in the state. This underscores Dr. Nwokeabia's unwavering commitment to the Labour Party's ideals and his growing influence in galvanizing support for the movement within Enugu.


Dr. Tanko Yunusa, in his address, meticulously outlined the core principles, vision, and values of the Obidient Movement. He passionately encouraged attendees to actively participate in the ongoing process of "saving the country from the maladministration of the APC government," echoing the movement's unwavering belief that a "New Nigeria is Possible." His speech resonated deeply with the audience, reinforcing their commitment to the cause.


The forum saw a comprehensive representation of the Enugu Labour Party and Obidient Movement. In attendance were selected stakeholders from the state's three senatorial zones, members of the state executive council, all 17 Local Government Chairmen, leaders from the Local Governments, and respected elders of the party in the state. Their presence underscored the broad-based support and organizational strength Dr. Nwokeabia has cultivated.


Beyond the serious deliberations on vision and strategies, the event also fostered a sense of camaraderie and community. Amidst discussions on national rejuvenation, attendees enjoyed fun moments, complete with a barbecue ram, food, and drinks, adding a celebratory touch to the occasion.
