His Excellency Dr. John Nwokeabia: A Testament to Unwavering Commitment to the Progress and Development of Enugu State by Nsukka Youth Congress

In the relentless pursuit of progress, development, and the well-being of society, it is often the selfless acts of individuals who place the collective good above personal gain that leave an indelible mark. One such individual is His Excellency Dr. John Nwokeabia, a distinguished leader whose dedication to the advancement of Enugu State and its people stands as an inspiring example of visionary leadership. Dr. Nwokeabia, the Deputy Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in the recent elections, has proven himself to be a tireless advocate for the people of Enugu.

On behalf of the leadership of the Nsukka Youth Congress, we wish to extend our deepest appreciation to Dr. Nwokeabia for his remarkable and unwavering support for the people of Nsukka, particularly during the last election cycle. His consistent dedication to the people of Enugu State reflects the strength of his character and his clear, future-focused vision for a better and more prosperous Enugu.

Dr. Nwokeabia's pivotal role in the 2023 elections cannot be overstated. His tireless efforts were key to ensuring the Labour Party's success in Enugu State. His commitment to Ndi Nsukka and the entire Enugu State has been both inspiring and admirable, highlighting his selfless service and deep-rooted passion for the state's development.

As Deputy to Bar Chijioke Edeoga during the 2023 governorship race, Dr. John Nwokeabia demonstrated absolute loyalty and provided significant financial support to the campaign. His commitment was not just in words but in measurable sacrifice. Many Ndi Enugu openly expressed the sentiment that they wished it was Dr. Nwokeabia who had contested for the governorship instead of Edeoga, citing his impeccable character, impressive pedigree, and seasoned political sagacity. His credibility and vision resonated deeply with the people, setting him apart as a leader of rare integrity and competence.

Given Dr. Nwokeabia's proven leadership, political experience, and unwavering dedication to the betterment of our people, the Nsukka Youth Congress strongly urges him to consider contesting for the position of Enugu West Senator in the 2027 elections. We firmly believe that Dr. Nwokeabia is a man truly fit for the purpose, with both the experience and political sagacity required to represent the people of Enugu West at the highest levels. His vision, integrity, and commitment to the development of our state make him an ideal candidate for this esteemed position.

The youth of Nsukka, alongside the broader Obedient Movement, stand firmly behind him. His efforts in the last election were a beacon of hope, especially to the younger generation who saw firsthand his unyielding sacrifice and dedication to ensuring the victory of the Labour Party.

Despite the recent defections to other political parties by some individuals, the true spirit of the Obedient Movement remains with Dr. Nwokeabia. We are ready to once again rally behind him, should the need arise, as we have full confidence in his leadership and the integrity he brings to public service. His compassionate approach and steadfast commitment to the people make him an ideal leader for Enugu State—one who is both capable and trustworthy.

In conclusion, we express our deepest gratitude to Dr. John Nwokeabia for his tireless service and sacrifice for the people of Enugu State. We encourage him not to be discouraged by any negativity, particularly from those who have benefited from his sacrifices but may not share the same level of commitment to the cause. We remain optimistic about the future and look forward to seeing his continued leadership, as we believe he is a true champion of Enugu's growth and development.

Signed,

Idoko Celestine (Onye Obodo)
