OGANIRU NDIGBO GBURUGBURU Condemns the Heinous Killing of Nigerian Soldiers in Aba

We, the members of OGANIRU NDIGBO GBURUGBURU, are deeply saddened by the senseless murder of Nigerian soldiers on active duty at Ogbor Hill, Aba, on May 30th, 2024. Our hearts go out to the families of the victims of this despicable act.

We strongly condemn the actions of the so-called "unknown gunmen" and the culture of impunity that perpetuates such heinous crimes. We urge the Federal government and military authorities to conduct a thorough and objective investigation into this incident, rather than jumping to conclusions or scapegoating innocent citizens.

The frequency of such incidents in the South East region is alarming and demands a more proactive approach to prevention. We cannot allow our region to become a killing field, with citizens living in fear and impunity reigning supreme.

The press statement which was signed by the National Cordinator Dr. Chik

a Dike and the Secretary Martins Chiedozie Ugwu, the group  call on Igbo leaders, South East governors, and stakeholders to unite in building a region that is the envy of Africa - a region that is self-sustaining, resilient, innovative, and productive. Let us work together to create a brighter future for our people.

We urge the government at all lebels to take concrete steps to ensure justice for the victims and their families, and to prevent such incidents from recurring. We demand a thorough investigation and a permanent solution to this menace.
