PCRC Anambra Women/National Special Unit Committee helds triple Events With The Release of Five Detainees



 

Since assuming office as the Coordinator of the Anambra State coordinator of Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Mrs. Stella Ijeoma Ubah has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to community services. Her achievements in the past year are a testament to her dedication and passion for improving the lives of others.

Under her leadership, the Anambra State Women/National Special Unit Committee, PCRC, has made significant contributions to the Anambra State Police Command and supported various national programs. These achievements were crowned by a triple event held on May 24, 2024, which marked the PCRC's 40th Anniversary celebration, the commissioning of a toilet complex for Police Children School CPS Onitsha, and the one-year anniversary of the Anambra Women/National Special Unit Committee .The event was further graced by the release of five detainees by the Area Commander and DPO CPS ONITSHA respectfully.

The DPO CSP RABIU GARBA praised the effort of the PCRC and commended the Anambra Coordinator for her unprecedented effort, particularly the landmark projects and supports to the Nigeria Police Anambra State Police Command. The Onitsha Area Commander
 ACP ITOBORE GREGORY thanked the Committee for the projects and promised a continuous partnership with PCRC for a secured environment within the vicinity.

All the detainees expressed there gratitudes to Mrs. Stella Ijeoma Ubah and  her committee for making their release possible.



Some of the notable achievements of the Anambra Women/National Special Unit under Mrs. Stella Ijeoma Ubah's leadership include:

- Participating in the PCRC Women Committee Program in collaboration with POWA at POWA Hall, Abuja, and donating a sewing machine to support police widows.
- Organizing a Children's Day event at Police Children School, CPS 1, Awka, and donating 450 books and 450 bags to the children.
- Supporting the National Children's Day event with the wife of the former IGP, Hajia Hajara Usman Alkali Baba.
- Participating in the reconstruction of the PCRC National Secretariat at Jabi, Abuja.
- Supporting and participating in Enugu State PCRC programs and representing Anambra State.
- Participating in the Anambra PCRC Chairmanship election and hosting the National Excos from Abuja.
- Supporting the PCRC South East Meeting at Zone 13 Ukpo and contributing to the Zonal Toilet Project.
- Conducted a Ramadan/Lenten Packages for our Gallant officers at the State Command Headquarters, Zone 13 Headquarters Ukpo and national.
- Participating in various other events and programs, including the National Women Committee program at Abuja, the National Ramadan package of PCRC, and the CP's Wife Birthday and Christmas party.

Mrs. Ubah's leadership style has galvanized quality members of PCRC in Anambra State, proving that PCRC is indeed a wonderful partner to the Police and the public. Her achievements demonstrate her commitment to community service and her ability to inspire others to work towards a common goal.



Recently, Mrs. Ubah received a POWA Award of Recognition from the Anambra POWA Chairperson, Mrs. Bolanle Adeoye, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the community. Mrs. Ubah attributed her success to the effective leadership provided by the National Chairman of PCRC, Alhaji Mogaji Ibraheem Olaniyan, who gave her the freedom to operate and make decisions.



We celebrate Mrs. Stella Ijeoma Ubah's achievements and recognize her contributions to the development in her state and the nation at large.
