LP Crisis: Lamidi Apapa faction drags Julius Abure, others to court over 'sham' convention

The Alh Lamidi Apapa faction of the Labour Party (LP) has described the ongoing national convention  of the party today at the Grand Seasons Hotels, Nnewi, Anambra State as a sham. 

According to the Anambra State faction of the party, Peter Okoye, "this is not a Convention, okay. 

"We are on top of the matter. 

"It's pure illegal. 

"There was no Ward Congress, no Local Government Congresses ,no State Congress, and now who and who elected the delegates that is Electing the NWC members ?

"The NLC is not there, TUC is not there ,,the owners of the party and members of the NEC and BOT members we're not there too.", the state factional chairman noted. 

According to Okoye, "The matter is coming up on 4th of April 2024 for hearing."

DR JOHN NWOKEABIA LAUDS LABOUR PARTY FAITHFUL IN ENUGU STATE.

  The Leader of Labour Party in Enugu West Dr John Okechukwu Nwokebia has Commended the Labour Party faithful over their Conduct in yesterday's Local government Council Election in Enugu State. Gentlemen of the Labor Party, what the PDP and Enugu State Government did in making sure that the ENSIEC LGA elections were not free and fair did not come as a surprise to us.  They made it known through their agents that they were going to write the results of the elections even before the votes were cast. And the hitherto traditional ruler of the community, Chief McAnthony Okonkwo who was dethroned by an Anambra High Court few years ago may be arrested in consequence.
