Senator Anosike emerges new Anambra APC chairman

The Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has elected Senator Emma Obiajulu Anosike as her new State Chairman .

Anosike who represented the Anambra North Senatorial District, Senator Emmanuel Anosike, as Chairman in Anambra State.

Anosike, who represented Anambra North between 2003-2007, was elected through a consensus arrangement at a well-attended State congress, held at the party's secretariat in


Awka, Tuesday March 3,2026.

The Chairman of the Anambra-Imo River-Basin Development Commission was unanimously voted at the Congress attended by about 2,100 delegates from across the state's 326 Wards.

The Chairman of the Congress Committee, Rear Admiral Williams Kayode (Rtd) announced the consensus results .

He listed out other elected officials of the party including Mr Joseph C. Okeke, Deputy Chairman; Mr Obi Okpala, State Secretary; and  others.

He urged the new executives to work harmoniously to see the party sweep the stakes in the coming 2027 general election.

In his brief handover address the outgoing Chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike, commended President Bola Tinubu for keeping the party as one, noting that Anambra APC leaders had demonstrated that the party remained supreme.

Senator Uche Ekwunife, commended the national officials of the party and representative of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for conducting a peaceful congress.

She assured of her full support for the party to continue to soar higher.

In his acceptance speech the new State Chairman, Senator Anosike, appreciated the party leaders and supporters for the privilege given to him and the newly elected officers to serve the party in the coming four years.

He assured to do their best in order to justify the confidence reposed in them.
