Amankanu Speaks With One Voice: A Final Warning To The Merchants of Crises And Their Sponsors

 Authority and the general public should be aware that the same group responsible for Agbe's murder, whose body has lain in the mortuary for more than five years now, is again attempting to unleash further violence and killing on the people of Amankanu. History will never forget

In the unfolding theatre of absurdity currently playing out in Amankanu Ohofia Oduma, a handful of sponsored puppets have once again taken to the streets, dancing shamelessly to the drumbeats of their paymasters, individuals desperate to derail the peace, unity, and progress our community has struggled for nearly a decade to restore.

But let it be known today, loud and clear: Amankanu Youths will NEVER fold their arms and watch a few selfish men desecrate our land in pursuit of their personal and hevil ambitions.



A VERY CLEAR MESSAGE TO THE SPONSORS OF CRISIS

The entire people of Amankanu are fully aware of those fueling this chaos.

Your names are known.

Your intentions are known.

Your desperation is known.

And so, the Youth of Amankanu issue this final and unmistakable warning to:

Charles Emeka Onuigbo, Sampson Ekpete Oshita (Omezurube) who is an aid to the local government Chairman of Aninri Aninri and their collaborators especially Pascal Nnamdi,  the then Youth leader when Agbe was beaten to death by disgruntled youth, Ani Vincent Chijioke, Ekpete Celestine, Jeremiah Udeh. History will never forget. The event leading to his gruesome murder still remain fresh in our memory. These people should be held responsible for any breakdown of law and order in Amankanu. 

Your actions and manipulations have confirmed beyond every doubt that you are not working for the interest of Amankanu but against it. You have repeatedly positioned yourselves as enemies of Ndi Amankanu, attacking our progress, sponsoring division, and attempting to hijack our traditional institution for your selfish agenda.

The constitution of Amankanu Ohofia Oduma Autonomous Community is clear, gazetted, and recognized by the Enugu State Government. The caretaker committee is following due process. The election of our Traditional Ruler is proceeding lawfully, fairly, and transparently. So we ask the noise-makers pertinent questions:

Which constitution are you talking about that the PG and his committee want to impose?

Where is it?

Who gazetted it?

Where are the documents? Please let the show the public. 


But because your lies are collapsing.

Your propaganda is failing.

Your intimidation has no effect.

What pains you most is simple:

The PG and the caretaker committee refused to be bribed or controlled.

We are now calling the local government Chairman of Aninri, Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku to call his aid to order: If these individuals continue to sabotage peace, continue to interfere with our traditional system, continue to oppose the lawful mandate of the caretaker committee, and continue to rubbish the gazetted constitution of Ndi Amankanu, then the people of Amankanu will respond with the full force of lawful civil resistance.

Let it become on record that WE WILL SHUT DOWN THE ENTIRE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA WITH PEACEFUL, SUSTAINED, AND UNINTERRUPTED Protests. Protests that will continue day and night until these men tender public, unreserved apologies for the numerous atrocities they have committed against our people.

We understand that this is not about land, though we know that the greatest fear of their sponsors is the hundreds of hectares of land they illegally grabbed, but about unmatched greed and aggrandizement of public property. Just a few years ago this same group of people continued to harass and intimidate people of Amankanu here and there, especially anyone close to Chief Innocent Ekpete who was handed over the offor in 2018. They are here again to repeat their evil acts. 

Again, we are calling on the local government Chairman of the Aninri Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku, House of Assembly member representing the good people of Aninri, and the Enugu State Governor and relevant authorities to call these people to order before they ignite full fire in Aninri. This is not about personal gain. This is about justice, dignity, 

Finally, we are calling on the local government Chairman of Aninri, to ensure peace is maintained in Aninri and If peace and rule of law is truly what he desires, as the Chief security officer of Aninri, he should ensure that peace upholds and that the gazetted constitution should be in full implementation. The Local Government Chairman should support  the caretaker committee of Amankanu Autonomous Community (which he inaugurated) to do its job. And the will of the people of Amankanu should also be respected.

But if they choose the path of conflict, division, and manipulation, then they should prepare themselves for the largest lawful protest in the history of this local government.A protest that will not stop. And until truth prevails, until justice is restored, And the dignity of Ndi Amankanu is upheld.

This is our land.

This is our heritage.

This is our voice.

And we will protect it.
