IBBN Enugu State Commences Statewide Crusade for Political Literacy and Community Engagement

ENUGU, NIGERIA - In a strategic move to redefine the landscape of civic engagement, the Enugu State Chapter of the Initiative for Better and Brighter Nigeria (IBBN) has officially launched a statewide, street-to-street crusade aimed at fostering political literacy and sustainable youth involvement.

Tagged the "Community Youth Empowerment Training," this multifaceted initiative seeks to bridge the gap between grassroots demographics and active political participation through education, economic support, and ideological alignment.

Deepening Community Ties Through Sport

As a core component of its community engagement strategy, the IBBN Enugu State Chapter successfully hosted a Novelty Football Match on Friday, February 27, 2026. The match, which saw Ndiegu Umuchu face off against the Agbariedje Football Club, served as a powerful tool for social cohesion. 

By utilizing sports to bring the community together at the Community School, IBBN demonstrated its commitment to meeting citizens where they are, using shared interests to build a foundation for deeper political dialogue.

The Scriptural Mandate for Participation

During the flagship activation, the State Coordinator, Amb. Dr. PraiseGod Edeh, addressed a vibrant assembly of citizens, emphasizing that political indifference is no longer an option for those seeking systemic change. Drawing from a profound theological anchor, Dr. Edeh cited Judges 12:3:


 "When I saw that you would not save me, I risked my life and crossed over... and God gave them into my hand."


Dr. Edeh utilized this charge to remind the populace that leadership and liberation require a deliberate "crossing over" from passive observation to active, risk-informed participation in the governance process.


Empowerment Through Action

The atmosphere remained electric as the IBBN leadership transitioned from advocacy to direct communal support. In line with the vision of IBBN’s National Convener, Prophet Isa El-Buba, the Enugu coordinator presented various support packages to community members. These gestures were met with profound gratitude, as residents engaged in songs of prayer and appreciation for a movement dedicated to rescuing the nation’s socio-political future.


A Visionary Legacy

The crusade reinforces the reality of the moment sweeping through the state. By prioritizing substance over mere political spectacle, IBBN is positioning the youth as the definitive architects of the 2027 transition.


The initiative serves as a structural precursor to the broader political momentum in Enugu, where competence and character are being elevated above traditional rhetoric. As the street-to-street campaign continues, IBBN remains committed to ensuring that every citizen is not only registered but intellectually equipped to exercise their mandate for a brighter Nigeria.
