CHIEF VIO ENUGU CONNDEMS MOTORISTS MOLESTING VIO'S AND OTHER TRAFFIC OFFICERS DISCHARGING THEIR LAWFUL DUTIES.

 The Director of Traffic and Chief Vehicle Inspection Officer Enugu State Engr Valentine Chime has called on Motorists in the State to stop forthwith the incessant harassment of Vehicle Inspection Officers and other traffic officers who are lawfully discharging their duties as the state Cap 137 laws of Enugu State enacted by the house of Assembly gives them the right to ensure that rickety and junk Vehicles are off the road in the State.

Engr Valentine went memory lane to explain that the VIO'S were originally Started by the federal government but with time was handed over to the States.


 In Enugu State the VIO'S Operates under the ministry of Transport headed by a Commissioner. 


Today there is no record of any Motorist going to Court but if anyone wants to try it he or She will fail as the VIO'S are working within the laws of the State. 



Engr Valentine lauded the giant strides of his Excellency Barrister Peter Mbah by building world class Vehicle Inspection Centre at Emene Enugu which is very functional today and in use to ensure that only Sound Vehicles ply in our roads Engr Valentine concluded.
