Amankanu Igwe-Elect: The Triumph of the People’s Will Rev. Akachukwu Agu

On behalf of the Electoral Committee, I offer my profound congratulations to Chief Ekenedilichukwu Ekpete. Our task was daunting: to conduct a process in a land that had forgotten the rhythm of succession. However, by 8:00 AM yesterday, the sea of faces in that hall told us that the spirit of Amankanu was alive and hungry for leadership. The patience displayed by our people, who waited for hours until the Ministry’s convoy arrived, proved that the desire for a legitimate father figure outweighed the exhaustion of a nine-year wait.

We did not just elect a man; we validated a consensus that spans nine villages. The transparency of this process—witnessed by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Mrs. Ada Nwoye—serves as a blueprint for how a community can heal through due process. You are the choice of the ancestors and the voice of the living. We are proud to hand over the mantle of leadership to a man who understands that in a true community, there is no victor and no vanquished. This election was not a contest of power, but a restoration of our collective dignity and constitutional order.

As we move forward to the next phases, we do so with the confidence that Amankanu is finally on the right path. Your pledge to ensure development and harmony is the precise balm needed for the wounds of the past decade. The Electoral Committee stands satisfied that we have delivered a leader who will serve all, protect all, and lead Ohaofia Ndumeze Kingdom into an era of unprecedented glory. Congratulations once again, Onodugo 1.
