The kidnap attempt according to a statement by the spokesman of the command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga,  occurred at Ogbunka community in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State. SP Ikenga disclosed that the victim was rescued after police operatives engaged the hoodlums in a gun battle that lasted several minutes.
