Moghalu mourns Ifeanyi Ubah

From Chuks Collins, Awka  July 28,2024 Former Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Chief (Dr) George Moghalu, has expressed sadness over the death of Ifeanyi Ubah, the Senator representing Anambra South in the upper legislative chambers  of the Natural Assembly. Moghalu, in a statement he personally signed, noted that it was devastating receiving the shocking news of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s death, describing it as a monumental loss to Anambra State and the country in general. The former National Auditor of All Progressives Congress (APC) said that it was even more shocking that the death could take the life of the senator so full of life and at the time his entrepreneurship experiences and political sagacity is needed in the country. “Senator Ubah's untimely departure is totally unexpected and shocking.   he Speaker of the Niger State Houseof Assembly, Abdumalik Sarkin-Daji has disclosed that he will sponsor a bill to create the Inter-tribal Agency for the state government in other to give non-indigene a sense of belongings in the state. Sarkin-Daji made this known on Wednesday during a town hall meeting organized by the governor’s Special Adviser on Inter tribal matters, George Dike, an Ibo man. The speaker commended the special adviser for mobilising residents of other tribes in Niger State to key into the governor’s New Niger Agenda. The speaker noted that given the role of the special adviser on inter tribal matters in the social awareness of Niger residents the governor would not hesitate to assent to the bill. “I never doubted your capacity when you were made the special adviser on inter tribal matters in this administration. July 18, 2020 - LG Election/Ebonyi State: With less than 48 hours to the upcoming Local Government election in Ebonyi State, youths have been advised to refrain from being used as agents of disruption by individuals seeking to advance their own interests. Comrade Ikechukwu Udu, Youth Coordinator of the Police Community Relations Committee in the South East Zone, made this call while speaking on Unity FM, emphasizing the importance of a peaceful election.   Five villages of Umuatugbuoma Akegbe Ugwu Autonomous community which include  Umuegboaro,Umuewoachime, Umugwuaro, Umude and Umuejimugwu on Saturday,6th June 2024 staged a peaceful protest against the  attempts by dubious people hiding under the name of Enugu State Government to take their homestead  ancestral land at Akpasha in Akegbe Ugwu Awkunanaw. Reacting to the reported incident, the Managing Director of Praco International Limited, a very popular international estate development group, Dr Kingsley Ezekwelu described the news as typical media gossip and unverified news. According to him, "there was never any incident of collapsed building with any of our projects anywhere in the world. " But we brought down one of our buildings when the management made a comprehensive change in that particular building's plan and design.
