Soludo's Dangerous Words Abroad, Deadly Silence At Home

Image
By Ugochukwu Okoye, Wuse, Abuja  August 1,2025 Leadership, at its core, should inspire confidence, protect its people, and speak truth with responsibility. Yet, what we have seen from Governor Chukwuma Soludo, the supposed Chief Security Officer of Anambra State, is a glaring failure in all these areas. His recent reckless remarks about the Igbo people, made on foreign soil, are not just unfortunate; they are dangerous. At a recent town hall meeting in Maryland, USA, Governor Soludo declared to the world that “99.99% of the criminals arrested in Anambra State are Igbo.” Not foreign insurgents. Not mercenaries. According to Soludo, Igbos are kidnapping and killing fellow Igbos. In his words, “Let’s stop the lies.” But whose lies, exactly? Let’s be clear: nobody is above the law, and no ethnic group is free of crime. Criminals must be prosecuted, whether Igbo or not. But for a sitting governor; an Igbo son, no less; to travel abroad and speak in such broad, sweeping terms about his o...

By Chuks Collins, Awka  Aug 1,2025 The All Progressives Congress (APC)governorship candidate for the Nov 8, 2025 Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu has berated the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for scrambling and falling on each other in effort to take over the seat of a fallen State's lawmaker who was victim of the ruling APGA party's abysmal security incompetence.  The ugly situation as observed was coming at a time when citizens were already yearning noisily aloud for good leadership. Addressing journalists who requested his assessment of the situation of things in the state faulted APGA for fielding a candidate for the Onitsha North 1 State Constituency's coming August 16, 2025 bye-election to replace the late Hon Justice Azuka, who was kidnapped on December 24, while returning to his hometown Onitsha for Christmas celebrations. Amankanu: A Response to Baseless Allegations

Image
By  Chief Ekene Ekpete's  Media Aid Chidi Eze  On behalf of our principal, Chief Ekene Ekpete, we are compelled to respond to the malicious and baseless allegations leveled against him and the Executive Chairman of Aninri Local Government, Hon. Ugochukwu Nwanjoku. In the face of these frivolous publications, we must set the record straight and expose the antics of those behind this orchestrated campaign of calumny. The allegation that Chief Ekene Ekpete bribed the local government Chairman or any other individual to become Igwe is utterly preposterous and an affront to the values of our community. Given his family's history with the chieftaincy title rooted in tradition and community recognition, the notion of bribery is absurd. Chief Ekene Ekpete's father, Chief Innocent Okorie  Ekpete, was handed the staff of authority by the people of Umuoro on December 7th, 2017, to serve as Igwe. While Chief Ekene Ekpete may not see eye-to-eye with the local government Chairman ...
