Akwa okuko: Court jails Anambra flamboyant celebrity native doctor

By Chuks Collins, Awka  Feb 27,2026 An Anambra State High Court has today sentenced the flamboyant and controversial Oba, Idemili South -based native doctor named Mr Chukwudozie Nwangwu, aka Akwa okuko tiwara aki, to eleven months imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to the charges. Nwangwu, alongside other alleged notorious and infamous native doctors including Eke Hit and Onyeze Jisos were brought before the court by the Anambra State government for money ritual practices, alleged involvement in activities linked to the acquisition of wealth through ritual means, and money rituals sacrifice/practice among other charges. The court in it's judgement held that the native doctor admitted to engaging in money ritual practices and preparing protective charms for criminals.  He was also accused of making talismans believed to be used by kidnappers and armed robbers, as well as aiding criminal elements through charms and other related means.
